IRS Notice 2011-53 provides that QI Agreements that expire on December 31, 2012, will be automatically extended until December 31, 2013. The notice further provides that a QI that enters into an FFI Agreement prior to December 31, 2013 will be considered to have renewed its QI Agreement.
