QI Agreements that entered into force on January 1, 2007 (including any QI Agreement executed in 2007) have required external audit years of 2008 and 2011, and QI Agreements that entered into force on January 1, 2010 (including any QI Agreement executed in 2010) have required external audit years of 2011 and 2014. Check the effective date of your QI Agreement to determine the years subject to the QI audit requirement.
For QI Agreements that have already been renewed with the IRS, the QI Renewal Instrument will indicate which years are subject to audit.
The standard format for the external auditor’s report, modified QI audit and QI/PAI correspondence audit below are the most recent versions available (QI Audit reports were released by the IRS in April 2006 and the most recent QI correspondence audit form was released in May 2009).
